Stephen Yantzi is an accomplished small business owner and operator with a professional background in public service and communications. He is the co-publisher of a 130-year-old weekly community newspaper; he has previously owned and managed a commercial medical facility. With experience as a political consultant, Stephen has effectively engaged with elected officials and staff across all levels of government, providing communications support and strategic guidance for numerous successful campaigns. He also established and directed the Queen’s Park and constituency offices for a former member of the provincial legislature. During his term as chair of Tri-County Mennonite Homes, Stephen provided strategic direction on COVID response, major capital redevelopment projects, and communications strategy.
Stephen was raised in a family that embodied generosity, a value that continues to inspire him. Combined with his deep knowledge of government and community engagement, this framework provides him with valuable insight into how public policy can support and promote philanthropy.
