2023 Annual Report Brief

50 Years of Generosity

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Abundance Canada, first established as Mennonite Foundation of Canada in 1974.

From day one, we have been humbled by the generosity and trust our donors have placed in us. Abundance Canada now manages over $260 million in assets. In the last year alone, we were entrusted with $83.39 million in new donations and distributed $50.9 million to more than 2,000 qualified donees across Canada.

As we look to the future, we uphold our belief that generosity is transformational for both donor and recipient; that generosity changes everything. And we continue to be guided by our core values that inform our relationships, our services and the commitments we have made.

In this milestone year, I want to acknowledge current and past staff and board members for their dedication, leadership, and support. For 50 years, they have overcome challenges and relentlessly pursued new opportunities for growth and excellence. Most of all, I want to thank the many thousands of donors, past and present. Your generosity is inspiring. Your generosity has immense impact.

Sincerely,

Darren Pries-Klassen
