We are sharing frequent updates on the progress of our 2025-2028 strategic plan and new initiatives underway. There is a lot of exciting work happening, and we are looking forward to keeping you in the loop.

Greetings from our CEO, Alan Goddard

Whether you are new to the Abundance Canada community, or have been with us for a long time; welcome, we are grateful you are here on this shared journey of community generosity and impact.

Since joining Abundance Canada just over a year ago, I have had the privilege of connecting with many of you, our long-time donors and community leaders who have been with us since our days as the Mennonite Foundation of Canada. Whether we have met through thoughtful questions or a simple greeting, each conversation has left me encouraged. Your care for our staff and your commitment to seeing this foundation flourish are deeply evident. Thank you. It is genuinely affirming to meet people whose values and dedication reflect the heart of Abundance Canada and the shared purpose that guides our Board and staff. I’m grateful for the trust you place in us and for the partnership we continue to build together.

It is the result of these conversations, and countless others, that we have reimagined our vision, mission, and values statements to better reflect who we are and where we want to go together. Abundance Canada has always existed to help you live out your generosity and to make the most meaningful impact with your charitable giving. Our updated statements reaffirm this commitment to you and will help guide our work as together, we shape a world of possibility.

With gratitude,

Alan Goddard, Chief Executive Officer

Same Amazing Team, New Name

We are pleased to be making mission-forward changes to honour the trust you place in us. One of these is the reintroduction of our public-facing staff as our Generosity and Impact Team. This highlights our dedication to personal relationships, supporting your generosity, and making sure you have a Generosity Plan® that best serves the charities you want to impact.

Meet your local Generosity and Impact Team.

Growing Impact Through Community

If you’ve ever talked with someone at Abundance Canada, you’ve probably heard the word “community” come up more than once. That’s because community is at the heart of our mission. Whether it’s the community of donors and partners who support this work, the places where we live and work, or the broader communities your generosity touches. It’s the thread that connects all of us and gives our work meaning.

That’s why, this past fall, we launched our Charity Partnership Program. It’s designed to show how powerful collaboration can be when we work together. Built by charities, for charities, the program creates space to think beyond immediate needs and plan boldly for the future. We can’t wait to share more with you! Watch for a deeper look in next month’s update. If you represent a charity looking for sophisticated, yet flexible fund management options, contact a member of our team today.
